ECORE is updating our trowel recommendation for 3.2 mm ECOsurfaces flooring products to a 1/16” x 1/32” x 5/64” U – Notch Trowel.
To best accommodate the 3.2mm thickness ECORE has been actively researching trowel specifications to ensure that the correct quantity of adhesive is applied to the substrate. This installation change not only saves money on materials, but will allow for additional yield amounts of adhesive.
This new trowel replaces the 1/16” square notch trowel for 3.2mm ECOsurfaces flooring only. The trowel recommendations for 6mm and 8mm flooring will remain the same.

Increased purchasing availability in comparison to old trowel size
Smoother finished appearance of installation
No adhesive bleed through when applied properly
